2021 Spring Season

2021 Spring SEASON:

Here are some details you may be looking for in order to decide if you would like to tryout:

Saturday March 6th located at the South Kingstown Recreational Center from 2-6pm.

·         2:00-3:00 - 4th & 5th grade

·         3:00-4:00 - 6th & 7th grade

·         4:00-5:00 - 8th & 9th grade

·        5:00-6:00 - 10th & Varsity

Unfortunately, there will be a $10 registration fee for tryouts. We have always prided ourselves on free tryouts, but COVID has forced a premium on gym rental as well as tournament costs. We apologize for this change.

Two practices per week.

One practice will be at the SK Rec Center and as for the 2nd weekly practice...
We are excited to announce our collaboration with THE ELITE SKILLS CLUB OF NEW ENGLAND.  All teams will practice once a week at this new state of the art training facility. Located in West Greenwich conveniently located right off RT 95 at Exit 6.

The RI Warriors are 100% committed to playing in six (6) full weekend tournaments. We have been in contact with a few tournament hosts. Currently 2 of our 6 tournaments are in place, both which will be run under ZERO GRAVITY. These Rhode Island tournaments are scheduled for May 1st & 2nd and June 5th & 6th.

With COVID still lurking, I do not think it makes sense to try and commit to all of our tournaments this far in advance. I do want to assure everyone we will play in 6 tournaments even if that means traveling a little further than normal.

4th grade- Coach Henry Rose, was a standout high school player at Hendricken High School. Went on to play college basketball at Anna Marie. Currently holds the all-time free throw percentage at this college.

7th grade - Will be run by Coach James Walters former Coventry Varsity assistant and Current JV head Coach at St. Mary’s Academy - Bay View. Coach James had also run his own AAU program. As well as Coach Rob Simoes Director of our RI WARRIORS.

8th grade- Coach Keith Holubesko, who won a state championship as a player and has been a lead instructor at the world renowned Five Star Basketball Camp

9th grade - Coach Chris Masse, who has run many NKRI AAU teams over the years. Also, a current member on the North Kingstown youth basketball board.

We are doing what we feel is the best and safest way to get these boys back on the hardwood! This is not about T-shirts or wins/loses it’s about getting them prepared for the upcoming Travel, Jr high and High School seasons 🏀💪🏼.
